Adelaide Airport to Adelaide Oval: the current arrival plan

J1 and J2 buses connect the airport with the city. Your accommodation zone determines the final transfer to the stadium.

The short version

Three planning decisions

  • J1 and J2 services currently pass through Adelaide city centre.
  • The airport stop is Stop 10 outside the terminal.
  • Late-arrival service spans and October 2027 fares must be checked by date.
01

Airport to city first

Adelaide Airport’s current public-transport guidance identifies J1 and J2 services passing through the city centre, using Stop 10 at the terminal. That makes the airport-to-CBD leg the stable part of the plan.

The second leg depends on your hotel. A CBD or Riverbank property may leave you with a walk-to-stadium strategy. North Adelaide needs a local transfer selected for the property. Glenelg is a different direction and should be planned as a beach-base itinerary rather than an airport-to-stadium shortcut.

02

Three details to recheck before flying

A taxi or pre-arranged transfer is the practical fallback when the public-service window does not fit. No RWC-period airport transfer entitlement is currently identified.

  • the dated J1/J2 timetable for your arrival time
  • the current fare and payment method
  • the final hotel-zone transfer, especially after a late flight
